2 phases Project
A bold initiative is underway, a melding of dualities: Education and Residential, science and art, man and nature, recreation and learning. A conceptual departure is proposed from many familiar building types, to create a new and unprecedented place. The project is in fact a bold departure from the norms of Educational Buildings, schools, Colleges, Studious, Playgrounds, community gathering places, laboratories, museums, offices, hotels, retail. All of these elements and more are being combined in this single place called Boston Intensive School which focuses on the New Intensive methods of learning, based on brain research and accelerating discovery of how people learn intensively in limited time, will be undergoing profound and rapid change during the next decades, utilizing and exploiting the current explosion of information technologies.
After reviewing the 2917.06 SM site, The Client is being advised to have the project Study as Two Phases Proposal shown in the project Program schedule.

A living room for the Distance students with various Meeting facilities with state of the art
teleconferencing and Multimedia equipments, The goal is to developed Dialogue within the
school campus between the distance students from all over the country. away from the
academic settings and particularly Architecture. Not just the BAC students, the forum also
could attract Students from all Design schools in Greater Boston Area.To interact with BAC
Students for the sake of better Architecture work in Mass Area and perhaps the whole country.
That would have a positive reflection on their learning experience as a team.
Commercial
15% of the gross project building area, the purpose is to satisfy the Student's needs within the campus. and creating a decent income to the client.
Architarium
To become a serious contributor to Public Green Building Awareness, to the Dialogue of Buildings

Amr,
in your description you decided to increase the complexity of the allready challenging program on a challenging site by adding a possible second phase (4d for the building) as well as a new dimension proposing connectivetiy to many others via multiledia (basically the web)(4d for the student). I'm hesitating applauding that - not knowing your capabilities yet - as I don't have evidence in the program or the bubble diagrams that you have a firm grasp of the (3d) problem at hand. I would love to see you developing the living-working piece in a bit more detail. The space will be used by individuals, groups, insiders and visitors. How do they all realte?
Amr, why did you choose to express the areas in m2 rather than SF? You make it somewhat difficult for yourself and your peers to be comparable. I hope you read your peers’ spreadsheets carefully and try to compare to your own. It will help you justify and/or revise some of your numbers. The total is a bit low.
I’m also not convinced yet by the material you presented, that you have a clear understanding of all the parts that will make up the facility; what functions the individual spaces will house, what furniture you will need to accommodate to allow such functions to occur.
Werner,
Thanks for your patient advice, I choosed MS because the only time i used Feet and Inch in my life was in 2005 when i was working on the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
All the Aquariums i work on now at our firm is outside the Inch Zone!
Last semester i did my apple store using meters.
However In this project i will defenitly use feet and inch. I would use meters in a side notes and sheets to help me feel and understand more the building the way i used to, then i will translate it to feet, its more work for me, but its worth it.
